If I stopped believing in God…

Francis Chan, in his book Crazy Love, writes a chapter on lukewarm Christians. In it he writes, “The truth is, their lives wouldn’t look much different if they suddenly stopped believing in God.” Wow! This really nailed me. I could relish the fact that Christ like attitudes and behaviors permeate my fabric so much that I naturally exude God. However, the kicker came to me like this. Am I living so close to the middle of the road that if you took the God label off of my life that people would say, “He was a good guy, who loved his family and cared about others.” You hear that all the time from people trying to justify why they don’t have to accept Christ. So the question is simple, “Is the Jesus factor taking me from the middle of the road to the only path that God has for me…His will?” If it isn’t, then I am on the wrong road. And while it isn’t lonely, it sure isn’t going to meet my desire to know God in the fullest.
